Jim Penola Ishmael has quickly become one of my favorite ambient artists and this release was my introduction his music. It's a great place to start and will waste no time in showing you how exceptional and moving his use of field recordings is. In a genre that is arguably oversaturated, Ishmael stands out. <3

Cassette + Digital Album
Pro-dubbed (Ferric Oxide) tape housed in a mint green shell; titling and logo in white. The tape sits in a polymer case which is vacuum-sealed. Each O-card is handmade by the artist so every one is different and unique; however, these are black and white as opposed to the colour versions. The track titles are typed on to a recycled paper insert.

Finally, the whole thing finished off with a brown obi strip - the artist name and the release title is stamped on the front; the mailbox logo and the artist's signature is on the rear.

A mailbox logo sticker is also included.

About the release:

"Feral is inspired by George Monbiot's book with the same title. It explores rewilding and the importance of humanity allowing nature to take the lead.

I designed Feral's cassette art with this in mind. I wanted to reuse something that already existed in the world; something that already has its own beauty: illustrated plates from David McClintock & R.S.R Fitter's 'A Guide To Wild Flowers' form the cassette sleeves, housing a sage green cassette."
